Keystone Lane is a short street of the Riverbank Terrace neighborhood in Pinehurst, near the Burlington line, running about 620 feet east-southeast from Whitefield Avenue, where it continues the line of Duncan Drive, to the south end of Adelman Road. Until the early 1990s it was the eastern end of Washington Avenue.

Washington Avenue was laid out on the plan "Riverbank Terrace, Billerica, Mass., May 1911," drawn by C. A. Thayer, engineer, and recorded on August 17, 1911 (Plan Book 29, Plan 25). It ran east from the bend of River Road, now the street Riverbank Terrace, past Craine Street, Whitfield Avenue and Grant Street to Adelman Road. On the stretch east of Whitfield Avenue the plan divided block 13, on the north side, into lots of 20,000 square feet, larger than the 25-foot lots elsewhere in the tract. The 1931 directory lists "Washington Avenue from River rd to Adelman rd (Riverbank Terrace)."

The houses on the street were built about 1988 on the block 13 lots; a deed of October 1987 for lot 22 still describes the land as "located on Washington Avenue in Block 13." The western part of Washington Avenue became Duncan Drive and the eastern part Keystone Lane during the town's renaming program of 1988 to 1991, which removed duplicate street names. Washington Avenue is used in the registry's property index through 1990, and Keystone Lane first appears in a deed of February 1992 for lot 21 of block 13. The renaming vote is not printed in the town reports, the origin of the name Keystone was not found, and no vote accepting the street as a public way has been found.
